Try working in a coal mine. You're a middle aged man who got fired from your last job and then moved half-way across the country for another job. Yep, you REALLY sound like a success. Excuse me if I don't bother to check out your blog.

Re: Honeymoon tester is latest dream job

Reminds me of Woody Allen's dream jobs, in the movie, Play It Again, Sam; mattress tester and semen donor.

Re: Honeymoon tester is latest dream job

Those are called "fam" (for familiarization) trips. Travel agents used to be able to get great deals on fam trips. Sadly, not so much anymore :(

When I first became a travel agent, I used to get lots of free airline tickets and cheap or free hotels. I traveled all over the place. The airlines aren't as generous anymore, but the hotels will sometimes still give us a good deal.

Re: Honeymoon tester is latest dream job

My mom used to have a job like this before she had kids. She worked for a travel agency and the employees would take turns checking out resort locations to recommend to their customers. My dad could go with her for a really low price. It was like they had a bunch of mini-honeymoons.

Re: Honeymoon tester is latest dream job

Right here! :D

Re: Honeymoon tester is latest dream job

OMG, my job was outsourced... to YOU!

Re: Honeymoon tester is latest dream job

La medida de la sobriedad.

El sonido
del ave alegre
me llama, en
la eternidad
del cielo
cristalino;
siento silente
el triste recuerdo
que regresa
en el sol,
duermo feliz
en el canto
dichoso.

Francesco Sinibaldi

Re: Honeymoon tester is latest dream job

that job is lookin like Clooney's job at Up in the Air spend good time but it's just a job :)

Re: Honeymoon tester is latest dream job

The catch is that you have to write blog posts on a regular basis, and longer than "having a great time".
